Admission Procedure

1. Enquiry & Application

Prospective students or parents can obtain the admission application form from the college office or download it from the official website. Detailed course brochures and guidance will be provided during the enquiry stage.

2. Filling the Application

The application form must be filled in completely with accurate personal, academic, and contact details. All required documents must be attached along with the form.

3. Document Submission

Applicants must submit photocopies of mark sheets, transfer certificates, community certificates (if applicable), and any other relevant documents for verification.

4. Counseling & Interview

Eligible applicants will be invited for counseling sessions and/or a personal interview with the admission panel to assess suitability for the chosen course.

5. Selection & Confirmation

Admission will be granted based on merit, eligibility criteria, and availability of seats. Selected students will receive an admission confirmation letter.

6. Fee Payment

To secure the seat, students must pay the prescribed course fee within the stipulated time.

7. Enrollment

Upon successful fee payment and document verification, students will be officially enrolled and issued an ID card and admission confirmation.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Courses (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, etc.)

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu / relevant education boards.

The qualifying examination must be from a recognized school or institution.

For commerce and management programs, preference may be given to students with commerce, accountancy, or business studies in their higher secondary curriculum.

For science programs, candidates must have studied the relevant science subjects in higher secondary (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as applicable).

Additional Requirements

All admissions are subject to the regulations of Bharathiar University, to which the college is affiliated.

Candidates must produce original certificates for verification at the time of admission.

Reservation of seats will be as per Government of Tamil Nadu norms.

Documents Required for Admission

Students seeking admission to Theeran Chinnamalai College of Arts and Science for Women must submit the following documents at the time of application/counseling. All documents should be produced in original along with two sets of photocopies for verification:

  • Filled-in Application Form: Complete with personal, academic, and contact details.
  • Mark Sheet of Qualifying Examination: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination marks statement.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC): Issued by the last attended school/institution.
  • Conduct Certificate: Issued by the head of the institution last attended, certifying good behavior and conduct.
  • Community Certificate: For candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/MBC categories (as applicable).
  • Migration Certificate: Required for students from other states or boards (if applicable).
  • Birth Certificate: For proof of date of birth (if not mentioned in TC).
  • Recent Passport-Size Photographs: Six copies to be submitted.
  • Address Proof: Aadhaar card, voter ID, or any valid government-issued identity proof.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate: To ensure the candidate is fit to pursue higher education.

NOTE:

  • Originals will be returned after verification.
  • Incomplete applications or missing documents may result in rejection of the application.
  • Foreign/NRI students must provide valid passport, visa, and eligibility certificates as per Bharathiar University norms.
