Established on 22nd August 2023, Theeran Chinnamalai College
of Arts and Science for Women stands as a proud initiative
of the Kongu Vellalar Trust, an institution with a
distinguished legacy in the field of education since 1979.
Affiliated to Bharathiar University, the college is
dedicated to delivering world-class education with a special
focus on empowering rural women through quality learning
opportunities, skill development, and personal growth.
The college is named in honor of the legendary freedom
fighter Shri Theeran Chinnamalai, a son of the Kongu soil,
whose courage and vision continue to inspire generations.
True to its motto, “To Reach the Unreached”, the institution
aims to uplift the rural community by offering accessible
and affordable higher education without compromising on
quality.

Spread across a serene and well-connected campus in Tirupur,
the institution boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure,
including modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a
rich library, advanced computer facilities, and dedicated
spaces for extracurricular activities. The campus environment

development of students through sports, cultural programs, and

From its inception, the college offered five pioneering
courses – B.Com, B.Com (CA), BBA, B.Sc Computer Science with
Artificial Intelligence, and B.Sc Costume Design and Fashion.
In the subsequent academic year, it expanded to include five
more programs – B.Com (Business Analytics), B.Com (Accounting
and Finance), B.Sc Microbiology, B.Sc Food Science and
Nutrition, and B.Sc Information Technology – reflecting its
commitment to meeting emerging educational and industry
demands.
Guided by Dr. Rachel Nancy Philip (CEO) and a team of highly
qualified faculty members, the college adopts a
student-centric approach that combines academic rigor with
practical exposure. Through strong industry linkages,
internships, skill development workshops, and 100% placement
assistance, the institution ensures that its graduates are
career-ready and capable of contributing meaningfully to

Theeran Chinnamalai College of Arts and Science for Women is
governed by the Kongu Vellalar Trust, a respected institution
established in 1979 with the mission to serve society through
education. The Trust comprises 678 dedicated members, led by a
visionary Executive Committee and Board of Directors, who work
collectively to uphold high standards in academic excellence,
moral values, and social responsibility.
The leadership of the college reflects a perfect blend of
experience, commitment, and forward-thinking vision. At the
helm is Shri Best S. Ramasamy, Chairman, whose relentless
dedication to women’s education and rural upliftment has been
the driving force behind the establishment of this
