First September 2023 goes down as a red lettered day in the annals of the Kongu Vellalar Trust as it marks the beginning of the Theeran Chinnamalai College of Arts and Science for Women. The Kongu Vellalar Trust was formed in 1979 in order to serve the society. The Trust comprises of 678 members with a group of Executive and Board of Directors. The trust has already set and indelible mark in the field of education when it started the Kongu Vellalar Matriculation School in the year 1991. The main purpose of the school was to provide quality education to school students at reasonable cost without donation. Started in 1991 with 14 students, the school today has become a huge baniyan tree with nearly 3500 students. In the year 2021-2022the school won the Second Rank at the State Level in the Secondary School Examination.
Theeran Chinnamalai College of Arts and Science for Women is yet another feather in the cap of the Kongu Vellalar Trust,  named after the famous freedom fighter Shri Theeran Chinnamalai the son of the Kongu Soil . The college was established to cater to the needs and aspirations of the student community, especially social upliftment among the rural women folk. The College is blessed with good infrastructure facilities and experienced faculty to bring out the latent talents of the students.
